January Makerspace
It is January already! Time to tweak my Makerspace activities. I added my Adult Coloring Board. Did you see the “Adult” Coloring books in store this past holiday season? These are coloring sheets that have detailed pictures. I like having a Makerspace area dedicated to the artsy student, so I bought a few books and started thinking on how to set up the space. Here is what I came up with:
I taped my coloring sheets on a broken Smartboard. I have a small table that fits underneath the Smartboard which holds my colored pencils. It is a community coloring board. I overheard some students wondering what “their” picture looks like and if someone else added to it. Success? I think so. This is not a make and take or a create Makerspace, but a Makerspace to let students experience something new and to work with others on a project. Two of the books were given as presents and two were bought at JoAnns.
Other January Makerspace activities:
Snowball Launcher Challenge, MineCraft, Take Apart Station, Marble Run, Tee Light Bright, K’Nex building, Lego building, and Sphero 2.0
